2016 NFL Mock Draft: Big boys dominate first round
By Brian Miller
-
San Diego Chargers
Michael Thomas – WR – Ohio State
It became very clear last season that the Chargers need receivers. They lost too many to injury and Malcom Floyd is calling it a career. With other needs on the field, the Chargers will look at those needs later in the draft but finding a top wide-receiver talent will provide quarterback Phillip Rivers with another option. The Chargers will get back number one wide-out Keenan Allen back but beyond him there isn’t much.
Thomas can bring size and speed to the Chargers. He is a possession receiver who can get separation from defenders with his quickness.
The Chargers will stay in San Diego for at least another season.
