Kelechi Osemele – Baltimore Ravens

Early rumors out of Miami is that they are very high on the Ravens starting guard. Osemele is at the top of his game and will be looking to make a big chunk of change in 2016. The benefit Miami has here is that guards do not typically bring in high dollar contracts so it’s very possible that if the interest is genuine as rumored, Miami should be able to land Osemele and provide an immediate upgrade for a unit that has been abysmal the last few years.

Osemele is a top five run blocking guard and his pass protection isn’t bad either. If the Dolphins landed Osemele they could then turn their attention to an actual competition between Jamil Douglas and Billy Turner at the other guard position. While both players have not shown they are ready to start, the Dolphins could add a guard in round two or three of the draft to compete with them as well. Miami could also look at adding another veteran guard in free agency as well.

Another option or perhaps a 2nd option is Brandon Brooks of the Texans. Brooks was very good the two seasons prior to 2015 but his production slipped along with a lot of the Texans offensive line in run blocking. Of course the Texans lacked a solid starter at running back which also hurt. Brooks however is very good in pass protection and the Dolphins could use someone who could take some pressure off Ryan Tannehill.

Ramon Foster of the Steelers is another option as well. Foster is solid in both pass protection and run blocking.
