Michael Thomas – WR – Ohio State

Most mock drafts have the Ravens going defense in the first round. They desperately need cornerback help but in this mock Hargreaves is off the board and Mackensie Alexander doesn’t warrant this high of a draft spot. The Ravens also need safety help and outside linebacker help as well as offensive line.

It’s too high for the Ravens to take a guard and Ronnie Stanley projects as a tackle which precludes him from being taken 6th overall. That leaves wide-receiver.

In 2015 the Ravens were a mess at the position. Injuries kept Breshad Perriman from the field and the Ravens offense couldn’t generate yardage in the passing game consistently. If Perriman comes back strong he will still struggle playing his first NFL season but Thomas could give the Ravens two very solid receivers on a unit that needs playmakers.
