Much of this selection will be predicated on what the Dolphins do in the first round. If Miami selects a corner back then they will not likely double up on the position in the 2nd round. With only three positions likely being drafted in the first round, running back if Elliot is available, corner back, and linebacker a possibility, Miami will have to decide what direction they want for the 2nd round.

Offensive line is a very big need and Cody Whitehair or Vlad Alexander could both be options in the 2nd. Miami could also explore adding a defensive end or defensive lineman.

Cat’s pick – Emmanuel Ogbah – defensive end – Ok. State

Paul’s pick – Artie Burns – Corner  back – Miami (Fl)

Both of the selections help Miami immediately. Burns I believe could drop into round three but in the NFL draft anything is possible and a run on corners will  not be surprising especially in the 2nd round. The selection of Ogbah is intriguing becuase some have him as a late first round selection and the Dolphins would be hard pressed to pass up that talent.

Cody Whitehair – G/T – Kansas State

I believe that the Dolphins will look to fix the offensive line issues and Whitehair is capable of playing both inside and outside on the line. He has good footwork and uses his leverage well against pass rushers and stands out blocking in the run game. Something the Dolphins need to improve upon. Whitehair is a day one starter for the Dolphins and should easily beat out Dallas Thomas or Billy Turner for one of the two guard positions.
