Wide-receivers

The Dolphins have always been somewhat of a traditional offense in terms of how they line up. There is the quarterback, a single back offense, two receivers split wide and one in the slot. It’s not completely a given that under Adam Gase, Miami will line up the same. But for depth chart purposes, it makes sense to slot to it that way.

Most of the time the Dolphins will be in a three wide/one – TE line up so predicting the tight-ends is the easier of the two. Jordan Cameron will be the primary tight-end and Dion Sims will be the back-up and starter in two TE sets.

Receiver isn’t much more complicated as the starters are easy to slot.

Jarvis Landry will once again line up in the slot with Kenny Stills and De’Vante Parker on the outside. Behind them is where it gets fun but it should look like this.

WR1 – De’Vante Parker, A.J. Cruz

Slot – Jarvis Landry, Leonte Carroo

WR 2 – Kenny Stills, Matt Hazel

What will be interesting to watch is where the Dolphins pencil in Griff Whalen and rookie Jakeem Grant who may be the top kick returner.

Tight end – Jordan Cameron, Dion Sims
