Dion Sims

The Dolphins drafted Sims in the 4th round of the 2013 draft and thus far he has been nothing more than a back-up and frankly, not a very good one. Luckily for Sims is that he can block but he has not made an impact in two tight-end sets and has been inconsistent.

Last year appeared to be Sims’ best chance to make an impact but he was injured in week one after a good game. He wasn’t able to come close to that performance.

In his three seasons he has 443 yards receiving and four touchdowns but has only started 11 games in that time period.

Sims however benefits from one thing and that is the fact that Miami has a very poor tight end group. Meaning he makes the roster because there are no other options.
