Corn Elder, CB, Miami (FL)

After hitting on offense the previous two picks it’s back to defense.  And what better excuse to stick around in South Florida by taking a player from “The U”.

There’s talk that Byron Maxwell could be on his way out.  Whether or not that’s a real possibility we may not know for a couple of weeks.  If he is, Miami needs to address the cornerback spot.  Even if he’s not, the Dolphins need to take a look at whether Bobby McCain is a legitimate option moving forward.

Corn Elder had a terrific 2016 which ended in All-ACC honors while leading the Hurricanes defense.  One play really stuck out to me as it would anyone else.  Follow this link and fast forward to 1:55.

Beautiful, right?

Miami has a stable of young talent at cornerback.  Elder could add to that.
