When Reshad Jones went down with an injury last season Miami’s defense lost a big part of both their run support and in coverage.  Bacarri Rambo was nothing more than just a fill in.  Then when Isa Abdul-Quddus went down, Michael Thomas was the replacement.

While I’m a huge fan of Thomas he’s best utilized on special teams and in certain packages.  Walt Aikens still doesn’t have the trust of the coaching staff.

Woods was a playmaker at Louisiana Tech.  His senior season he had 84 tackles and five interceptions.  He ended his career with 272 tackles and 14 interceptions.
