The 1981 draft was actually quite good in terms of the talent that was brought in. While number one draft pick David Overstreet lost his life to an accident the Dolphins draft picks made impacts over several seasons.

Andra Franklin was drafted in round two. He spent four years in the NFL as a fullback, all with Miami.

In round five WR Tommy Vigorito was drafted and while he spent four years with Miami as well, he was valuable depth.

Fulton Walker is still a highlight reel and returned a kick-off for a touchdown in the 1982 Super Bowl.

William Judson was drafted in round eight. He spent eight seasons with Miami recording 24 interceptions.

Round 11 brought Miami Mr. Versatility. Jim “Crash” Jensen.  Jensen spent his entire 12 year NFL career in Miami. He lined up as a wide-receiver, a tight-end, a running back, was the emergency quarterback and was able to play on special teams.

Who was the best?

Jim Jensen.
