5 Dolphins previously injured players to watch in training camp

Some could say that Tannehill’s injury is far worse but Matt Moore is capable of taking over for Tannehill should he go down. It won’t be ideal by any means but the season wouldn’t be “over”.
Pouncey on the other hand could have a major impact on the Dolphins success this year. The Dolphins were far better in 2016 when Pouncey was on the field but he missed all but five games in 2016 with a recurring hip injury.
Pouncey has spent a lot of the off-season with a cane as he has recovered from surgery and stem cell therapy but that does not guarantee a full season ahead and in fact, if I were a betting man I would most definitely put money down on him not making it for every game.
What makes Pouncey’s situation worse is that the Dolphins don’t have a true capable back-up. Last year Kraig Urbik started some and Anthony Steen started some. Steen is the best option to start but he isn’t ready for a long haul if Pouncey goes out for good. The Dolphins simply didn’t plan ahead. Yet.
Pouncey could very well return to health and play at his Pro-Bowl level but in camp, it will all be about how his hip responds to the rigors of football when he gets back on the field.
