Number 3: Battle for OLB

The Dolphins are hoping that Koa Misi can return to the lineup and if he is cleared he will not simply walk back into the starting roll. The Dolphins drafted Ohio State’s Raekwon McMillan in last April’s draft and the Dolphins are hoping that the 2nd round pick can make an immediate impact.

If Misi is healthy, this could be a competition to keep an eye on because they both have similar skill sets. Misi may have the edge because his contract is fully guaranteed by honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised that if McMillan can show enough in camp that he starts while the Dolphins use Misi in situational play.

Misi is strong against the run and is better in pass coverage than McMillan displayed in college. I’m not sure McMillan can get better in pass coverage to completely take over the role but I’m also not sure that Misi can be cleared to play, get in the practice reps, and prove that he is 100% physically and mentally.

Prediction: Raekwon McMillan starts.
