Cameron Wake

Will Cameron Wake be a Hall of Fame contender? This is a good career that has yet to be finished. If by NFL standards you throw out the years of NFL service, Terrell Davis this year, then Wake should absolutely be a HoF contender.

Statistically however Wake may not make the grade. Currently Wake is ranked in 59th in the league’s All-Time career sack list. He has 81.5 sacks over his career. It’s likely that Wake could play another two maybe three seasons before Father Time catches up to him. If Wake can average 10 sacks over the course of the next three seasons he would finish career around 111 sacks on his career which puts him around the Terrell Suggs area. In this area we start talking Hall of Fame.

Sacks are not the only statistic that will get Wake in. He has 21 forced fumbles as well and one interceptions. Wake is a game changing defensive end and if he is viewed solely on his sack count then we won’t know for another few years but his disruption should be taken into account as well.

Over his career Wake has been a first team All-Pro and has been voted to the Pro-Bowl five times over his eight year career.
