Miami Dolphins’ Ndamukong Suh is the top-rated defensive tackle this year for Madden 18.

Suh is one of two players on the Madden 18 roster for the Miami Dolphins to have a rating over 90. He has an overall rating of 93 and a strength rating of a hulking 98.

That being said, we all know that our defense looked terrible at times last year. Especially against the running game.

According to ESPN, last season the Dolphins‘ defense ranked 30th overall against the run. Allowing 2,247 yards on the ground with 464 rushing attempts. The Dolphins gave up 4.8 yards per rush, tying with the 49ers for worst in this category. They also ranked third-worse for rushing yards allowed per game, with 140.4 yards.

Miami has added a good amount of players in the off-season to fortify the front-seven. The good thing about Madden 18, you get are the head coach and defensive coordinator, so you can start whoever is your favorite.

William Hayes and Lawrence Timmons will help add some strength to stop the run. First-round pick, Charles Harris, starts off with a Madden 18 overall rating of 73. I believe that has something to do with his power moves having a rating of 66. Second-round draft pick, Raekwon McMillan, comes in with a decent rating of 72. His ratings for block shedding, pursuit, and tackling are all above 80.

With new defensive crew in Miami, I know the Dolphins will not land in the bottom 3 in the run defense this season. I’m looking to see the rookies, Davon Godchaux and Vincent Taylor, push Jordan Phillips to be more consistent and level-up this year. Though their Madden 18 ratings are low, I expect them to make some noise this year.

Mike Hull is a player I am always looking to see make things happen, because he’s fast and can tackle. Plus his range is decent in zone coverage. So I always sub him in for Koa Misi, sorry.
