Updated post-camp Dolphins 53 man roster predictions
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins have broken camp and will now return to normal daily practices. Players will head home from the hotels they have lived in the last few weeks. Some degree of normality will return but the final 53 man roster cuts are ahead.
Entering training camp there were a handful of players that were guaranteed roster spots. Ryan Tannehill, Tony Lippett, Raekwon McMillan, Ted Larsen, you get the picture. Their injuries will impact not only the roster and the season but the doors have been opened for players who may not have had a shot to make the final 53.
We know that Jay Cutler and Matt Moore will make the roster provided the injury bug doesn’t continue to hang around South Florida like it’s a relative of the Zika virus on vacation. The question now is will one of the back-ups to Moore have a better shot? Cutler is coming off an injury plagued season in Chicago and a retirement but his gig in the broadcast booth has been put on hold. Can David Fales or Brandon Doughty secure a third QB position? Not likely.
Here is a look at the post-training camp roster predictions. A final one will be done before the final cuts are made. You can view our pre-camp predictions here. New additions are in bold.
