The Miami Dolphins won’t see the Buffalo Bills until the last quarter of the season when they face them twice in the span of three weeks. By that time, the season could be over or just getting started for a second act.

When the Dolphins do finally see their AFC East rival the season could be on the line. Buffalo has made a couple of trades in the last 10 days including shipping Dolphins’ killer Sammy Watkins out of the AFC East and into the NFC West. They then traded up and coming corner back Ronald Darby to the Eagles for receiver Jordan Matthews.

Matthews is a solid receiver but has been relatively inconsistent over the last few years and anyone who has had him on their fantasy football roster will know just how up and down he actually is. The fact Buffalo traded a former second round talent in Darby makes you believe that the Bills may be looking towards the future. Both trades came with the addition of a draft pick to Buffalo as well.

The Bills are not expected to be a powerhouse this season as they begin to rebuild under new head coach Sean McDermott but that does not mean they will be a pushover. The Bills are a tough football team that simply lacked direction from Rex Ryan and company. Miami is not going to simply walk through them.

Despite the fact that Buffalo is solid in many areas they still are lacking some critical pieces that they must address next season but for now, there are five players that could give Miami fits when the seasons schedule brings the two rivals together late in the season.
