On that same day of Jason’s induction but many hours later as Saturday rolled into early Sunday I stood side by side with Larry Csonka. Csonka was the first Miami Dolphins alumni that I had ever interviewed way back on this site some 10 years ago. It was amazing to stand next to someone so recognizable. Even at his age, Csonka still looks like a man who can kick your ass if he wanted to.

There is an obvious generational gap between Tavis and his daughters so naturally the are likely to have different favorite players. So I asked them both who their favorite players were. It wasn’t surprising.

"Autumn:  My favorite player is Jason Taylor. I don’t recall the exact moment I really began to notice Taylor but once I did I just really loved watching him play and once learning more about him realized what a great guy he is. Jason Taylor’s jersey was the first I had asked for once I was old enough but once that happened he ended up with the Redskins. So after waiting all of that out and him coming back for his final time in Miami I finally got my Jason Taylor jersey and have loved it ever since. Tavis:  Larry Csonka always was my favorite. But Bob Griese, Nat Moore, Jim Kiick, Mercury Morris, Dick Anderson, Jake Scott, and so many more are right up there with him. I was a fan of David Woodley and Don Strock. I could probably just take up a whole page with names. While at the HOF this year I was able to get Bob Griese and Larry Little’s autograph. That was a thrill. While at the HOF got to shake hands with Cameron Wake, Mike Pouncey, and Trace Armstrong. I also said “hi” and shook Nat Moore’s hand and later on in the night he passed by me again, and I said “there’s Nat Moore and he said ‘hey buddy’” – that was awesome."
