MIAMI GARDENS, FL – DECEMBER 11: Mike Hull

Another year another linebacker problem for the Miami Dolphins. Miami lost Raekwon McMillan for the year and that has put Mike Hull in the center linebacker spot and when depth became an issue the team signed former Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga. It’s unclear how well Maualuga will fit in considering he hasn’t played since he arrived.

The easy bets are Kiko Alonso and Lawrence Timmons. Both have played well in their limited action on the field. Neville Hewitt also is making a case to remain but the real surprise has been Deon Laceey who has stood out in all three pre-season games. It’s very possible he earns his spot.

Predictions: Maualuga, Alonso, Timmons, Hull, Hewitt, and Deon Lacey

Outside: Trevor Reilly and Brandon Watts

Cut: Reilly, Watts, Junior Sylvestre, and Chase Allen

Roster stands at 42
