The Dolphins have had a wild ride the last couple of months. They had their starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, injured, a game postponed from a hurricane, a player goes AWOL, and an assistant coach resigns after the release of a video showing him allegedly snorting cocaine.

The Dolphins lost starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill during training camp and signed retired Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Cutler becomes the starting quarterback day one, replacing a fan favorite, backup quarterback Matt Moore. Moore has played for the Dolphins for 7 seasons and has won many games when he has stepped into the starting position.

Then Hurricane Irma threatens and hits the state of Florida. As a result, the NFL postpones the Dolphins home opener on September 10th against the Buccaneers to November 19th.

The Dolphins bye week becomes the first week of the season and they’re forced to play 16 straight weeks. Then the team travels 16,000 miles over the next 3 weeks to Los Angeles, New York and London.

Then something happens that is even stranger. To avoid the hurricane, the Dolphins travel to California before the storm and practice that week in Oxnard, California. Then the night before the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who started 120 consecutive games, goes missing.

As a result, the Dolphins file a missing person report with the police. The police find Timmons at LAX scheduled to board a flight to Pennsylvania. He misses the game against the Chargers and is suspended the following game against the Jets.

Timmons returns against the Saints and plays well. No one seems to know what happened to Timmons and why he went AWOL.

However, the season gets stranger. On Sunday night after the Dolphins defeated the Titans, a video posted on social media shows offensive line coach Chris Foerster snorting a white substance with a $20 bill. Foerster was the leader of the unit that has struggled mightily and is at the heart of the Dolphins offensive woes. He resigns the next day.

Even with all of the strange events surrounding the team, they’re still 2-2. However, what’s going to happen next?
