Congratulations to all the Miami Dolphins Webbie Award winners
By Brian Miller
Over last weekend the Miami Dolphins held their annual Web Weekend event from Friday to Sunday ahead of the Tennessee Titans game.
The event started early on Friday when the Dolphins opened their team meeting room to a bunch of us who run Miami Dolphins fan sites. The Dolphins made Kiko Alonso and right tackle Ja’Wuan James available to us for a quick Q&A session.
James, who was very well spoken talked about how the offensive line continues to try to get better each week while Kiko Alonso spoke of course about the defense and how having Lawrence Timmons back helps.
On Friday night we met at Bokampers in Davie, Fl. for a catered dinner and then woke up early Saturday help the Miami Dolphins Special Teams program as we packed weekend lunches and dinners for children who may not otherwise eat from Friday until Monday. We will have more on that event later this weekend.
After a tour of the stadium and a trip inside the locker room, the evening brought guests from Mike Tannenbaum, to a member of RISE, a presentation about the Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge, and an inside look at the Dolphins video and still media program.
Finally the night culminated in the annual Webbie Awards. The awards are voted on by other fan-sites who cover the Dolphins. This year, our site, PhinPhanatic.com took home two awards. Best Fan Features and Columns, and the Tom Eddie Award for Best Overall Site which was presented to us by Hall of Fame center and former Dolphins great Dwight Stephenson.
First and foremost we would like to thank all of the Dolphins fan-sites who voted for us this year but we would be nothing without our dedicated readers who push us to do better each year. So for that, we thank you.
Most Community Oriented Site (The Eddie Jones Award):
This year the award which recognizes the site which most represents the Dolphins community as a whole, went to DolfansNYC. DolfansNYC has owned this award for since its inception.

This year the award for news content went to Phins.com.
