The Miami Dolphins’ Adam Gase told reporters following Thursday nights blowout loss to the Ravens that he is “pissed” about how his team is playing. He needs to look in the mirror first.

There are so many problems with this team. Offensively the team is as stagnant as you can get. Defensively they are a top 10 team who had a really bad game but was it a bad game or exposure for what they really might be?

Before Adam Gase can blame the offensive line or the running backs, or the lack of studying that apparently some players are opting out of as he told the media this week, Gase needs to take a long look in the mirror and address his own issues. Then he can start working on fixing the problems with his roster.

To begin analyzing this team we need to start at the head coaching position. Gase is a good coach and that is hard to deny but Gase has let this team go in so many ways and that is why this team is losing.

Whatever happens on a football field, off the field, in the locker room or on a practice field is the responsibility of the head coach. From hiring assistants to firing assistants, Adam Gase is in charge and when things do not play out the way they are intended, the head coach is the guy who is tasked with fixing it. As well he should be. For Adam Gase, fixing those problems starts with him.
