Dolphins’ Adam Gase is “pissed” but should look in mirror first

Adjustments
Adam Gase was often praised for his in-game adjustments but this year he isn’t making the right decisions. Personnel groupings could be to blame, lack of offensive line continuity, poor play from the receivers and quarterbacks perhaps. There are a lot of reasons that Miami is struggling on offense that could be hurting Gase’s ability to adapt during the game. But Gase isn’t adapting to the game at half-time either.
Miami’s offense seems scripted from the start of the game to the start of the second half. Miami comes out at halftime and are often seemed as flat as they were in the first half. It’s after the light comes on that they are in a position to lose that things start to click and adjustments are made.
More often than not Gase seems steadfast in sticking with his game plan regardless of what the defense is doing. For example, running Jay Ajayi between the guard and center gaps when there has been no lanes the entire game.
What is at the root of this problem is anyone’s guess but whether it be Gase’s own ineptitude of the issue or the players failure to execute needs to be fixed sooner rather than later.
