Rey Maualuga

While Foersters problems were personal in nature, Maualuga found himself not only in jail but without a job when he got he out.

A day before the Dolphins were preparing to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Maualuga must have forgotten that the team didn’t have a bye week. On the Saturday before, the Dolphins starting linebacker was arrested outside of a South Florida night club over.

The arrest stemmed from an argument between Maualuga and a bartender over a $40.00 bar tab that Maualuga refused to pay. As the linebacker tried to leave, the bartender tried to stop him and Maualuga grabbed him by the throat and shoved him. He was arrested and jailed.

Miami didn’t wait for Maualuga to get released before opting to release him. As the Dolphins played out their week 11 (bye week) game, Maualuga sat in jail waiting to get bailed out.
