Eliminated from the post-season

The Miami Dolphins managed to turn their season around for about two weeks. With back-to-back wins against the Broncos and the Patriots in Miami, Dolphins fans believed that the team had found their winning formula.

With three weeks left in the season, the Dolphins were close to holding all of the cards for a post-season birth. Two games against the Bills and one against a struggling Chiefs team. Miami needed to win all three to control their fate but two of three to keep their hopes alive.

Miami would leave Buffalo with an embarrassing loss but still in the playoff picture. On Christmas Eve however that all changed when they couldn’t mount any offense against the Chiefs in Kansas City and their defensive couldn’t keep pace with the weapons on the Chiefs offense.

With their season on the line, the Dolphins were eliminated from the post-season on Christmas Eve and would lose to the Bills at home in week 17. Adding insult to injury, the Ravens were upset by the Bengals and the Bills made the post-season for the first time in 17 seasons.
