Ryan Tannehill

When the Miami Dolphins opted to let Ryan Tannehill skip having surgery on his partially torn ACL they were under the impression that it wasn’t going to be an issue. It became an issue almost immediately.

Tannehill tore the ACL when he went down in training camp early without contact. He ran out of the pocket and to the sideline where his cleat stuck and he fell awkwardly to the ground. The injury immediately ended his season and he would go under the knife to have it repaired.

With Tannehill out for the year questions about who would replace him immediately surfaced. Would it be Matt Moore or an outsider. Obviously Miami would sign Jay Cutler to take over the duties and his relationship with Adam Gase gave hope that Miami could continue their progress with a quarterback who knew the system.

They were wrong.
