Jason Taylor Hall of Fame inductee
Early in 2018 as the Super Bowl was getting ready to be played the NFL announced its list of Hall of Fame finalists. One of those players was Dolphins’ Jason Taylor. On the eve of the Super Bowl Jason Taylor was elected to the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.
In August ahead of the leagues first pre-season weekend, the NFL kicked off the season with the Hall of Fame ceremonies and Taylor was enshrined in the HOF. His mantra was 20 years for 20 miles. Attending Akron University, 20 miles north of Canton, Taylor made it home after 20 years.
Jason Taylor became only the 10th player in Dolphins history to be enshrined in the HOF. Taylor’s legacy may not be over yet as the team mulls the decision to retire his jersey. Only Dan Marino, Bob Griese, and Larry Csonka have retired numbered. Taylor would be the first defensive player.
