MIAMI GARDENS, FL – OCTOBER 22: Mike Pouncey /

Mike Pouncey finished an entire NFL season. It was the first time Pouncey had completed a full slate of games since his rookie season in 2011. Making this more impressive was the fact that Pouncey did so without a bye week and played 16 straight games.

Pouncey entered the season highly doubtful for a full slate after missing time in every season between 2011 and 2016. At a pre-game media session ahead of his 16th start this season Pouncey said it was a goal from the start and that he would give “the middle finger” to all of his doubters.

Pouncey will enter the 2018 off-season with some remaining questions. His play in 2017 was good but it wasn’t at the level Pouncey has played at in the past. With a nearly $9 million cap hit, the Dolphins could look to restructure the former Pro-Bowl center or could release him.
