GLENDALE, AZ – DECEMBER 30: Running back Saquon Barkley /

Cleveland Browns – Saquon Barkley – RB – Penn State

There are rumors and rumblings that the Browns will go full in on Redskins QB Kirk Cousins if he is not retained and there is rumblings and rumors that Washington will let him go. There is also rumblings of an Alex Smith trade so while quarterback is the top position of need, it may be addressed long before the Browns are on the clock.

Even if a quarterback is not addressed in free agency, there are rumors that they are not high on Rosen, which if true would make trading out of number one a sensible trade. This is where Barkley comes in.

Barkley is the best running back in this class by far and would improve the Browns offense provided they can fix the quarterback position. Cleveland may not have won but one game in two years but there is a lot of talent on their roster and Barkley should be able to shine even on a poor offense.
