MIAMI GARDENS, FL – OCTOBER 08: Cameron Wake /

3rd round – 70th overall –DE – Oklahoma

Cameron Wake will be back this season, but I think this might be his last season for the Dolphins. Wake should enter the Dolphins Wall of Fame and has been a true leader. Charles Harris was drafted in the first-round last year, and if Andre Branch doesn’t live up to his 7 million cap hit, he will be a cap causality next offseason. Drafting Okoronkwo is all about speed on the edge – exactly what Wake brings. This kid is on my man crush list and he plays with a non stop motor. The best way to beat Brady, is to make him uncomfortable in the pocket – Harris and Okoronkwo are two legit ends for the Dolphins for the next 4 years.

I’m not sure if you noticed what this draft has done for the Dolphins. With the top three picks the Dolphins have solidified three positions of weakness and addressed this with my minimal impact to their cap.

Defensive end – 1st 2017 Draft – Charles Harris – is now paired with 2018 3rd round draft pick Ogbannia Okoronkwo

Linebacker – 2nd round 2017 Draft Raekwon McMillan – is now paired with 1st overall Tremaine Edmunds

Offensive Line – 1st 2016 Draft – Larmey Tunsil – is now paired with 2018 2nd round draft pick Connor Williams

Bill Parcells stated you build a team from the trenches out – this draft has fulfilled that aspect.
