10: Oakland Raiders

Selection – Roquan Smith – Linebacker – Georgia

The Raiders need a playmaking linebacker to fix a defense that simply didn’t live up to expectations in 2017. For all of the offensive problems the Raiders have key players in place and they simply underperformed. Defense however has been an issue.

Smith is a stellar linebacker prospect and would start day one for the Raiders and improve the defense. This is a special player with a lot of potential and a high ceiling for growth. The Dolphins are expected to have interest in Smith but he will not likely be on the board when they select in round one a pick later.

One thing to watch here is the potential for trades. The Raiders pick one spot ahead of Miami and if the rumors of Baker Mayfield interest are true, this could be a potential trade partner for one of those teams behind Miami who would want to jump in front of them to take Mayfield.
