1: Cleveland Browns – with Kirk Cousins

Selection – RB Saquon Barkley – RB – Penn State

Barkley makes a lot of sense for the Browns regardless of whether they sign Kirk Cousins to a free agent contract. The Browns lack playmakers and while they desperately need a quarterback, they will still have their chance at pick four. That is why I believe that Barkley could be the number one overall pick regardless of whether the Browns land Cousins. That being said, don’t rule out a trade here.

What will really happen: The Browns, if they land Cousins will trade this pick and move down. The question is where. The Jets could be a potential trade partner but moving up five spots for the Jets will be costly. The same can be said for the Broncos. If the Browns don’t land Cousins, they could drop one spot to the Giants who would draft Josh Rosen.
