2: New York Giants

Selection – Josh Rosen – QB – UCLA

The Giants have not been rumored as a landing spot for Cousins and for good reason. Cousins is a starter and so is Eli Manning. Manning’s contract is not team friendly for trade or release this year so look for the Giants to start the year with Manning at quarterback and then shifting to the rookie later in the season or even in 2019 if Manning can hold on all year.

Rosen or perhaps another quarterback makes a ton of sense for a team that is a year from moving on from Eli Manning. It is possible to see the Giants trade up with the Browns should they believe another team is trying to get ahead of them for Rosen. If the Browns take Rosen at one overall, there are still options at quarterback for the Giants.
