3: Indianapolis Colts

Selection – Bradley Chubb – LB/DE N.C. State

The Colts have no need or interest this year in a quarterback, not in round one anyway. The Colts will have a new head coach, likely Josh McDaniels but they still have a recovering Andrew Luck and when he is healthy is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. What they don’t have is a good defense.

Chubb is a solid defensive end that can get to the quarterback and collapse the pocket. It’s not the offensive flash that a new offensive minded head coach would make but it makes the most sense. McDaniels however will pass on Chubb if Barkley is not taken by the Browns. And this could be a result of Kirk Cousins not signing with Cleveland. If the Browns don’t land Cousins, they may very well go Josh Rosen over Barkley and if that happens, Barkley will be the pick at number three.
