6: New York Jets

Selection – Josh Allen – QB – Wyoming

The Jets will be in play for Kirk Cousins but it is highly unlikely they spend the amount of money that the Cousins  camp is expected to ask for. Given the depth in this years draft at the position the Jets will likely want to draft and groom their future signal caller instead of spending on Kirk Cousins. Make no mistake however, they will be linked to the free agent QB.

Allen makes a lot of sense for the Jets but he is far from a savior of the franchise. He has a lot of development to continue to make and while the Jets fans will be screaming for him to start from day one, he probably could use a year on the bench. However the Jets don’t have anyone for him to really learn from so they will need him to start day one.
