8: Chicago Bears

Selection – Calvin Ridley – WR – Alabama

The Bears need to find someone who can catch the football from Mitch Trubisky. Honestly off the top of my head I couldn’t think of who the receivers in Chicago were. Ridley is a solid all around type receiver with a good combination of speed and size.

Ridley will be a huge upgrade for the Bears and their offense but if Ridley is not on the board or they opt to go another direction, the secondary seems to be a good place to start. The Bears however have a new head coach in Matt Nagy and as an offensive minded coach, they tend to want their first drafts to fit their style and familiarity. This makes a lot of sense for Ridley or potentially an offensive lineman who can help protect their young quarterback and open running lanes.
