The reality here is that Poucney probably has little to no trade value at this point but if there is any trade value left, then this year would be the one to move him.

Pouncey is coming off his first full season since his rookie year and while he struggled alongside the rest of the Dolphins offensive line there is still a lot of talent left inside him and if he can stay healthy he may be able to get back to the Pro-Bowl.

Trading the center would save the Dolphins $7 million with a $2 million cap hit. Miami could use their second round draft pick to draft a center or they could package Pouncey to move up and get a future center. Pouncey’s stock is as high as it will likely be but is there a team out there that would be willing to risk a draft pick on him? Probably, but we would be talking mid-round at best.
