2004 – Davis Boston

In 2004 the Miami Dolphins sent a 6th round pick and corner back Jamar Fletcher to the San Diego Chargers for Boston. Boston at the time was a big time receiver but on the down-swing of his career. The Dolphins needed to make a move to improve at wide-receiver but this trade never really worked out for the Dolphins.

The trade itself wasn’t a bad one on paper. Fletcher was a bust from day one and many believed that the Dolphins should have drafted Drew Brees instead. It was another in a long list of Dave Wannstedt draft blunders.

In the end, it was a wasted trade after the “paper” translated to on-field play. Boston played in only five games for the Dolphins in his one season and only caught four passes. He was out of the league a year later.
