2007 – Chris Chambers

Chambers had spent six years with the Dolphins and was one year removed from a Pro-Bowl appearance when the Dolphins made a move at the trade deadline to ship him to San Diego. At the time, Chambers held the Dolphins team record for most receptions in a season later broken by Jarvis Landry.

After leaving Miami midway through his 7th season, Chambers played half of ’07 with the Chargers, all of ’08, and part of ’09 before leaving for the Chiefs where he would play until the end of the 2010 season and ending his career. He returned to Miami as part of their FinSider broadcast team and stays active with the organization today.

The trade of Chambers netted the Dolphins a 2nd round draft pick that then VP Bill Parcells used on quarterback Chad Henne. Henne’s career in Miami was inconsistent at best and he would leave the team after four unspectacular seasons joining the Jaguars as a free agent in 2012.

Henne has been with the Jaguars since as the teams primary back-up and the Jaguars came one game away in 2017 from the Super Bowl.
