The NFL is holding its annual pre-sale for members starting today with the doors officially opening on Wednesday. Teams like the Miami Dolphins can view the merchandise online and even talk to a sales agent but they can’t look at the merchandise until the doors officially open.

Welcome to the NFL’s legal three-day tampering period.

During the next two and a half days teams can talk to agents and can even discuss money but they are not allowed to agree on a contracts and they can not visit with the players. In fact they are not supposed to even talk to them.

Miami is reportedly going to be very active in free agency this year and we could start to hear about players Miami has interest in throughout the day. Free agents won’t be the only topic of discussion however. There is a likelihood that we could see another trade, maybe two.

The latest trade rumors involves right tackle Ja’Wuan James. James’ name has been mentioned and linked with the Denver Broncos as well as a couple of other teams. A rumor late last night had the Dolphins closing in on James and a 6th round draft pick being sent to the Broncos for running back C.J. Anderson.

James is likely going to hit the market soon. Miami owns his rights after picking up his 5th year option which becomes guaranteed on Wednesday. The Dolphins would like to move that $9 million contract off their books.

Anderson is very familiar to Adam Gase who coached him while with the Broncos. Anderson is reportedly going to be released. So why not wait? Well for starters trading for a player means you do not have to negotiate with that player or compete with other teams for his service. This is a trade to watch for as there seems to be a lot of talk.

Despite a large amount of rumors, the Dolphins are not likely going to trade or release Ryan Tannehill nor Ndamukong Suh.
