Oakland Raiders – Tremain Edmunds – LB

The debate on which rookie prospect will be better continues. Is it Edmunds or Smith? Smith is more rounded and NFL ready whereas Edmunds tends to show more upside and potential long-term.

Edmunds is not the flashy draft pick that Jon Gruden would want to make in his first year back after a long hiatus but he would fit easily into the defensive scheme and his faults can be coached up.

Gruden doesn’t need a quarterback or a receiver so the only thing really left is offensive line and while that is possible, he needs to get his defense playing better in the AFC West which touts some high-scoring clubs in San Diego and Kansas City while the Broncos try to turn things around this year. It will be interesting to see what Gruden opts to do this time around.
