Best Miami Dolphins draft picks of last 15 drafts

2013 – 2014 NFL Draft – Jarvis Landry

By far the best draft pick of the last 15 years has been Jarvis Landry. No other receiver in NFL history has posted more receptions over the first four years of his career than Landry. Landry was so good that he priced himself out of Miami and was traded to the Browns this past off-season. Landry was  more than a possession receiver as he was the go-to guy on offense capable of changing the tempo of a game.

Landry’s only fault was that he valued himself out of the Dolphins organization. In 2014 the Dolphins also drafted Ja’Wuan James who has played very well for the Dolphins and is playing this year on his 5th year option as the Dolphins decide whether or not to extend him longer. Miami made an offer on a longer deal but James opted to play under the 5h year option instead.

The 2013 draft produced nothing for the Dolphins and would be the last draft for Jeff Ireland, highlighted by his selection of Dion Jordan.
