As the Miami Dolphins introduce their two newest players, Danny Amendola and Frank Gore, it is easy to see the leadership they both bring.

Danny Amendola has been officially introduced to the media today, day two of team workouts, and he is all about getting started.

Amendola praised head coach Adam Gase and said he likes what he sees in how the players respond to him. He is ready to work and ready to lead when the time comes.

Amendola has been in the building for two days and his desire to learn the playbook as quickly as possible is a good indication of what he brings to the table. Amendola also praised Ryan Tannehill saying that he watched him in college and that the two of them have already met a couple of times to throw the ball around.

It is refreshing to see a new wide-receiver already working on his own to build chemistry with his quarterback.

When asked about recent comments regarding his former head coach Bill Belichick, Amendola took the high road by not answering those questions. Last week he said that Belichick could be an “asshole”. Anyone who watches football can see that would likely be true. Many former Patriots talk about the grind that Belichick has his players go through but as Amendola said the end result is playing in February.

The Dolphins are hoping that additions like Amendola and Gore will help build a more unified team and help the younger players develop the maturity needed to be coached properly.

The Dolphins gave Amendola the biggest contract of his career but it was still a reasonable deal for the Dolphins who replaced Jarvis Landry with Amendola and Albert Wilson. The Dolphins next step  is to add to the team via the draft next weekend.
