Pick 11: Miami Dolphins

Josh Rosen – QB – UCLA

No this draft wasn’t stacked in favor of the Dolphins getting a quarterback but it shook out that way. There is more and more talk that Gase really likes Rosen and maybe even more than he likes Baker Mayfield.

Rosen has a lot to like about him but he also has some off-field issues of maturity that have followed him into draft talk. Those maturity issues could see him drop on draft day as some teams may not want to invest in someone that may need a year or two to “grow-up”. The Dolphins have a year or two.

Ryan Tannehill is the starter and Rosen won’t challenge him for that job this year and he might not be ready in 2019 and that too is o.k. Rosen can afford to sit for a couple of years and learn Gase’s system. The Packers found success with Aaron Rodgers by doing the same thing.

With the linebackers off the board, the Dolphins could look at Minkah Fitzpatrick or one of the top defensive tackles, Vita Vea or Da’Ron Payne.
