Pick 31: New England Patriots

Sam Hubbard – DE

The Patriots have addressed corner and now need to concentrate on the front of the defensive line. Hubbard makes a lot of sense for the team as they need to get better pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Hubbard can start but he will likely rotate for now. Belichick will need to give his defense a boost as he was not happy with how the season ended for his team in 2017. Wide-receiver could be an option here as well and TE is a possiblity with the uncertain long term future of Rob Gronkowski. Belichick tends to draft with an eye for the future so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him grab a TE. It also wouldn’t be a surprsise to see him trade this pick.
