Pick 5: Buffalo Bills

Baker Mayfield – QB – Oklahoma

While the Bills may try and trade up to number two there is a better option for them to trade to number five as it will cost them less. The Bills need a quarterback and Mayfield would fair better in Buffalo than in New York City with the Jets.

This is not going to make Dolphins fans happy but the Bills have to find a solution at the position and waiting until pick 12 will not help them unless they really like Lamar Jackson. Mayfield is ready to play this year and that is what the Bills need. They don’t have anyone that they can really rely on to start at this point.

Mayfield should have no problem starting day one for the Bills and his athleticism and ego should keep the Bills in contention for another Wild Card spot in 2018, that is so long as they can fix the offensive line.

As for the trade and the purpose of this draft, I’m giving Denver the Broncos both of the Bills first round picks although I believe the cost to move up will not include the second pick by Buffalo in round one.
