The Miami Dolphins fanbase has a lot of podcasts to choose from and two of them, DolphinsTalk and the brand new The Fish Tank came together Wednesday to talk football.

For 11 years you could hear my voice age from early stints with DolFansRadio to the Bitchin’ Dave show. Friday nights were spent in TheShed with Mike Brothers of the ShedDawgs and of course my rather long stretch of more than nine years with On The FinSide. So when Mike Oliva of DolphinsTalk asked me to co-host a show with him it seemed like it would be fun. It was.

On Wednesday, Mike and I were joined by former Miami Dolphins receiver O.J. McDuffie and former Dolphins public relations man and current Jason Taylor Foundation CEO Seth Levit to talk about their new show TheFishTank.

As we have noted over the last week, TheFishTank is a new podcast that loses the X’s and O’s for a little more “Ex”s and “Ohhhh’s”. This show takes you behind the curtain. Think of it as Toto pulling back the curtain on the wizard. They take you into the stories that no one would think of telling during their playing days.

For example, you can find out why Channing Crowder chose Florida over Penn State or what he overheard Zach Thomas say to Nick Saban. In two weeks the podcast ramps it up with a weekly show.

After the guests were gone, Mike and I chatted for about another 45 minutes on the state of the Miami Dolphins and he dove in pretty good with me on opinions ranging from Ryan Tannehill and the release of Ndamukong Suh and we stepped through all of the positions in an impromptu training camp preview.

DolphinsTalk is a well-produced show with great hosts. Tom and Mike deliver fantastic content and soon with the off-season just about over, will be dishing it out almost daily. Remember when you want X’s and O’s, make DolphinsTalk your go-to source, when you want the “Ex’s” and “Oh’s!” TheFishTank should be your main course!  Luckily you can have them both!

Be sure to check out the 2nd part of my show with Mike when he drops it on Monday!
