Last call for the PhinPhanatic.com Fantasy Football leagues

It’s that time of year when we start closing down our fantasy football leagues and start concentrating on drafting our teams.

This year the overall interest has been pretty good, especially for the $110.00 fantasy football league. We have two leagues that we are currently filling and when those are filled, we are closing the leagues for the season.

Drafts for the leagues will happen over the course of the final two weeks of August depending on what league you have interest in. There are two.

The first league carries a simple $25.00 buy in for your team. It uses a random draft order that is applied when the league is full and all members have paid their dues for the league. We use ESPN as the host with basic settings for roster and scoring. However touchdown passes are 6 points and this is a PPR league.

Currently there are only five spots available for this league style. One is drafting on August 22nd, and the other is drafting on August 21st. Both have draft times of 8:00 p.m. NOTE: I do not play in this league but will be listed as a co-owner for one team so that I can manage the league as commissioner.

The second league is our $110.00 league that pays out to the top six finishers. First through third receiver, 400, 300, 200, while 4th through 6th receiver their entire entry fee back. Those not making the playoffs can still take home $90.00 by winning the consolation bracket. So 7 teams out of 12 will win something. NOTE: I play in these leagues.

The current draft date available for this league is August 30th. There are currently two and possibly three spots available for this league. It is our 3rd $110.00 league. The draft order will be set once the league is paid for by all members. We use ESPN’s draft randomizer for the draft order.

This league is also a PPR league with standard scoring and passing TD’s counting for six points.
