The Miami Dolphins have closed training camp sending fans back work during the week and the players back home with their families at night.

Now that camp is over the real work is about to begin. The Miami Dolphins are in Charlotte today for their Friday night pre-season two game against the Panthers. While the starters will not likely play the entire game each should get a little bit of time on the field.

Since camp is now officially over, who has risen and who has fallen from the potential list of players to make the 53 man roster? Here is a look at how the quarterbacks have fared so far.

Ryan Tannehill – no change

Tannehill did not get much playing time in week one pre-season but that was expected. He has emerged as a vocal leader in practice and while he has had some up’s and down’s it appears most of the down swings were situational things they were trying to work through. Overall he had a good camp and no one can say that the knee injury hindered him mentally.

David Fales – trending up

Fales had a good pre-season game last week leading the team to scores on every series he was on the field for. He was good for the most part in camp as well and has made a pretty good argument to become the second string quarterback. The Dolphins typically only keep two on the final 53.  The next three weeks will be telling.

Bryce Petty – trending up

After a strong pre-season game Petty almost led the perfect comeback. Not once but twice. He led the team on a late score that put the Dolphins in the lead but watched from the sidelines as the defense failed to stop Tampa with 1:50 left in the game. He took the field again with 00:29 seconds left and almost engineered a comeback but a deep pass with nine seconds remaining was picked off. Petty is still a long shot to make the roster.

Brock Osweiler – trending down

Has Osweiler trended up at all? Osweiler has looked bad all through camp and for someone who was supposed to be familiar with the terminology of Adam Gase’s system, he has often looked lost. It will be interesting to see how Gase handles reps in this Friday’s game against the Panthers because he could be thrown in for one final run or David Fales could get a lot more looks instead.
