The Miami Dolphins have a problem getting the ball into the end zone while in the red-zone. Head coach Adam Gase doesn’t think that is a problem.

Adam Gase was asked about the red-zone issues at his post practice presser on Sunday. He doesn’t seem all that worried despite the fact that his team is struggling at the moment with punching in the ball for a touchdown when inside the 20 yard line.

"“It hasn’t been good. We have some things that we’re not doing in the preseason games right now that we’ve been working on in training camp. Sometimes when we try to throw things in there for a game specific to what the defense does and we haven’t repped it enough, it’s going to look like crap and it has. I’m alright taking the hit on that one considering that I know what we’re trying to do big picture.” – Adam Gase via MiamiDolphins.com"

The “big picture”. It might be safe to assume that some of what he is referring to could be the inclusion of Mike Gesicki in that particular game situation. Thus far through two pre-season games, Gesicki has yet to find the end zone and hasn’t been target but one time.

If Gase does indeed have tricks so to speak up his sleeve then it will be interesting to see what exactly they are. Is he hiding them from the rest of the league? That is unknown but one thing is for sure, Gase better hope he is right about not doing things because it’s pre-season.

Gase has a lot of problems on offense and those problems are not just with the red-zone. They have issues creating first downs on third downs, avoiding third and long situations, and pre-snap penalties which have been drive killers for the Dolphins in recent years.

This week the Dolphins will face the Baltimore Ravens in what many consider the dress rehearsal game for the season. It’s unknown how much game prep Gase will put in this week.
