Switching gears from the Titans game, we now take a look at the Miami Dolphin offense, ahead of the New York Jets game at Met Life stadium, which will be played at 1:pm Sunday Sept 16, 2018.

Head coach Adam Gase leads the Miami Dolphins offense, he creates the game plan, and draws up the scheme. He decides who will start the games, and he has a few weapons on offense to choose from, lets take a look.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked more comfortable in the pocket last week, when he completed 20 of 28 passes for 230 yards and two touch-downs. At one point Tannehill came off the field holding his knee brace after the only sack in the game, and it looked like he was in pain, but it was just a scare. Tannehill is reported to be fine and ready for the Jets game.

Tannehill will be tested by the Jets secondary, and his passes need to hit the mark, the Jets allowed 300 passing yards in their Monday night game ranking them 24th in pass defense. Wide receiver Kenny Stills looks to open the field on the Jets DB’s. Danny Amendola will continue to be a threat for the Jets defense, Amendola is hard to cover.

What could pose a problem is the Jets only allowed 39 rushing yards in their season opener, that could be where Miami has the biggest challenge.

Miami’s offensive line had 3 false starts in-game one, and if this continues with Laremy Tunsil and Ja’Wuan James drawing flags, that could force the Dolphins to be one-dimensional and force Ryan Tannehill to throw the ball more.

If things go well for the Dolphins, you can bet Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake have something to do with it, these two had a combined 109 rushing yards on 23 carries. It seems that coach Gase will go with whoever has the hot hand in the game, but both will get their chance come Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins offense has more weapons than years past, With tight end Mike Gesicki, and also wide receivers and speedsters Jakeem Grant and Albert Wilson, I would look for coach Gase to mix it up and keep the Jets defense guessing. Miami needs to avoid the turnovers and penalties to come out with a win.

Miami Dolphins offense is still looking to get rolling early, it would be ideal to score on the first drive, Miami will need to start faster in this game, and will also need to take points on the board instead of chances on fourth down in the red-zone. This game just might be a dog fight, stay tuned.
