The Miami Dolphins are 3-0 after a brutal game against the visiting Oakland Raiders. It’s their best start since 2013.

In 2013 the Miami Dolphins jumped to an early 3-0 start but by the time that season came to an end, the Dolphins lost all but five of the remaining 13 games finishing 8-8. That was under Joe Philbin. Can Adam Gase keep the Dolphins upright as they try to continue this early season streak?

It won’t be easy. The Dolphins travel to New England to take on the Patriots next weekend but for now they can rest knowing they have won the first three games, three games that half of the media said they wouldn’t win while the other half said they should win.

On Sunday the Dolphins were far from perfect. Unbelievable phantom penalties doomed the Dolphins on several series but when the Dolphins were not getting bad calls against them, and they were horrible, they were shooting themselves in the foot. Like Akeem Spence being ejected.

The Dolphins winning is a testament to their work and never give up attitude. Miami was short-handed on the defensive line after losing William Hayes to a knee injury, the Akeem Spence to ejection, and later Andre Branch to a knee injury. Yet despite the thinned group and the scalding hot Florida sun, the Dolphins found a way.

Fans were ecstatic after last weekends win against the Jets and this weekend will no doubt lead to a great week as well for Miami fans. The Dolphins are slowly starting to come together and there are glimpses of what this team might be as the year continues.

Miami has to continue to improve and make in-game adjustments, something Adam Gase did very well in the 2nd half today, unfortunately my wrath got the better of me in the first half on social media. Yes, that was me that said Gase was calling a horrible game.

Regardless the Dolphins found a way to win. Something they did very well in 2016 when they made the post-season. This team believes in themselves and more importantly they believe in each other. If there is one positive that no one is talking about is the fact that on both sides of the ball, each player is picking up for the others and vice versa. It’s a good sign that Gase has that locker room he has been searching for since his arrival.

It’s a big reason why the Dolphins are starting 3-0 in 2018.
